What is Degree Works?
Degree Works is a web-based tool designed for students and academic advisors to assist in monitoring a student鈥檚 academic progress toward degree completion.
Degree Works also allows students and their advisors to plan for future academic coursework and is a tool used for advisement purposes only. It is NOT an official record.
How to Access Degree Works
Degree Works can be accessed via鈥 (Students page, under "Registration" and under "Registration Tools").
With the Degree Works Responsive Dashboard, students, advisors, and deans have access to visual "Degree progress" indicators for Requirements and Credits.

The audit displays students鈥 progress towards degree completion with General Education Requirements, Major/Minor Requirements, GPA Information, elective courses, as well as Not Applicable Classes.

Prerequisites - If you see a checkmark on a clipboard next to a course, this will indicate the course has a prerequisite. Once you click on the course title, it will open another box and display the prerequisite courses needed before you can take that course.
Legend
Students can use this tab if they are thinking of changing their majors, minors, and/or concentrations and would like to know where they stand in the new program.
Step 1 | Click 鈥淲hat If鈥 on the upper left-hand side, next to Academic and just above degree progression
Step 2 | Based on what major you are looking into, change the Degree, Catalog Year (this should match the year you started at 新澳门六合彩资料), and major you are looking into. When you choose the major, it will populate in the 鈥淐hosen Areas of study鈥 box. Once it is there, press 鈥淧rocess What-If鈥.
Step 3 | Under future courses you have the opportunity to enter any future courses you plan to take, and see where they would fall within your new major. You will put the subject of the course in the first box and the number of the course in the second, then select add.
Step 4 | When you choose the major you will scroll to the bottom and select whether you wish to include pre-registered courses and in progress courses and then select process.
Step 5 | Your new degree audit will populate with the 鈥渨hat if鈥 major you selected. It will show where your current classes will fall and what new requirements are needed for that specific major.

Degree Works is a web-based tool that will provide a clear and convenient method for you and your advisor to track degree progress, to prepare for registration, and to plan for graduation. Degree Works is designed to aid and facilitate academic advising, but is not intended to replace face-to-face advising sessions.
Degree Works is available to all admitted students and advisors.
No, Degree Works only shows courses in-progress, planned, and in academic history. If you would like to register for classes, contact your advisor.
If you think your audit is incorrect, you should meet with your advisor to review.

You can use the 鈥淲hat if鈥 tool, located on the top of the Degree audit.
The 鈥淣ot Applicable to Major鈥 are courses that are not applied to your classes needed. These may be duplicate courses if you have repeated any, courses that did not receive the necessary grade requirement, or courses that are not needed to your major.
You should review your degree audit at least 4 times a semester:
- Before registering for classes for the upcoming semester
- After registering for classes to make sure the classes are applied to the area you expected
- After grades have been posted
- Every time a change is made to your schedule
If you have any questions about your requirements in your degree audit, make an appointment with your advisor as soon as possible.
Your degree audit is a tool used towards degree completion, but is not an official certification of your degree. Once the requirements are checked off, the registrar will do an official review of your degree audit to make sure you completed all of the requirements.
