Kerlisha Broomes

Kerlisha Broomes has been an Adjunct faculty member at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ since the completion of her studies at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ in 2023. Prior to teaching at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ, Mrs. Broomes developed her love for teaching through her service as a Sunday School teacher and later as a Adult Leadership Instructor at the Ramah Christian Center in the Bronx. Mrs. Broomes currently teaches the Conflict 1 course for the undergraduate program in the School of Behavioral Science. Apart from being an alumni of аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ, Mrs. Broomes served at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ as a Peer Mentor, Orientation Leader and a member of the Mavs Give Back Club, a campus club focused on giving back to the community as much as possible.

The study investigated the correlation between family household structure and quality of life for parents with particular concern to the COVID-19 pandemic, and against the backdrop of socio-contextual factors such as gender, residence type and ethnicity.

This research looked at the expected benefits of improved learning outcomes, enhanced retention rates, student development of critical skills, increased sense of belonging and preparation for future success.
